The S-80 retractable louver
blind is a robust, high quality, precision built shading system.
It has been specifically designed for external shading where the
reduction of solar heat gain is a prime consideration. A S-80
blind installed externally can slow heat gain up to 93% via the
fenestration when applied to vertical double glazing. Provisions
of a complete system of S-80 blinds, automatically controlled by
a S-800 Solar Control Unit provides comfortable working and
living temperatures. This allows the building air conditioning
system to operate more efficiently, reducing energy consumption
thereby reducing costs. The tilt angle of the 80mm wide louvers
may be adjusted to provide shading along with outward vision. A
further improvement of outward vision may be achieved by the use
of louvers with 15% perforation. The S-80 blind is also highly
recommended for internal use where exceptionally long drops of
up to 30 feet are required, such as banks, hotels and office
lobbies.
